Nicolas RESSOT Un EP qui, tout en piochant dans l'ancien parvient à renouveler le genre...avec une ambiance teintée de Tim Burton. ça passe trop vite ! Encore ! Encore ! Favorite track: Ratzinger's Waltz.

William Owens Halloween really is the most metal holiday, so it's no surprise that halloween-tinged progressive metal would be a thing...somewhere.

Echopraxia is more than that but it's definitely the first thing you'll recognize. It's a fascinating combination of progressive metal, gypsy jazz, and structurally complex riffage. One of the most unique things I've heard all year. Favorite track: Tin Noses.

Snyjxr I find myself coming back to this album quite a lot. This is one of those very few records that when you buy it, you honestly think you'll like it, but not much more than that, but then, it turns out you can't get enough of it. The only gripe I have is that the guitar tone, although it sounds delicious, is a bit too over the top. I don't know if it's excessive reverb o something like that, but it even makes the guitar lines hard to distinguish from time to time. Favorite track: Tin Noses.
